The Golden Rule
NEVER make advance payments before a physical meeting. Anyone asking for money upfront — regardless
of the reason — is likely attempting a scam. Ctchicks.net is not responsible for any financial
losses from advance payments.
Before Meeting
- Verify identity: Ask for a live photo or video call to confirm the person matches
their profile
- Research the profile: Look for verified badges, review history, and profile
completeness
- Use the provided contact only: Communicate only through the phone number or
WhatsApp listed on the profile
- Be skeptical of "too good to be true" offers: Unusually low rates or extraordinary
claims are red flags
- Trust your instincts: If something feels wrong, it probably is — walk away
During Meeting
- Meet in a public place first: A café, mall, or hotel lobby is ideal for a first
meeting
- Inform someone: Let a trusted friend or family member know where you're going and
when to expect you back
- Keep your valuables secure: Don't carry excess cash, credit cards, or expensive
items
- Stay alert: Don't consume drinks you didn't personally see prepared
- Have a plan B: Know your exit strategy and keep transportation ready
Financial Safety
- Never share bank details: No legitimate person will ask for your bank account or
card information
- Avoid digital transfers before meeting: No UPI, Paytm, or bank transfers in advance
- Don't fall for "booking fees": There is no legitimate reason to pay a booking or
reservation fee
- Watch for multiple payment requests: If someone keeps asking for more money, it's a
scam
Legitimate individuals will never ask you for money before meeting in person. Any advance money
request is a strong indicator of fraud.
Digital Safety
- Protect your identity: Don't share personal photos, Aadhaar, PAN, or ID documents
- Use a separate number: Consider using a secondary phone number for privacy
- Don't click suspicious links: Never open links sent via WhatsApp or SMS from
unknown people
- Block and report: If someone is harassing or threatening you, block them and report
to us immediately
